カナダから広島県立因島高等学校に留学している高校生を招き、国際交流の機会をいただきました。
異文化交流を体験する中から、国際性が豊かになり、将来、国際化への貢献に結びつくことを願い、広島県立因島高等学校のご配慮ご協力を得て実現しました。

母国語のフランス語はもちろん、さらに英語、日本語、スペイン語が話せる高校生に重井中学校生徒は、びっくりしました。

当日は、南アフリカから来られているALTの先生も一緒でした。
3ヶ国の国際交流となりました。

これまで、授業で習った表現を駆使して、
積極的に意欲的に国際交流（コミュニケーション）を図ろうとする生徒の姿が見ることができました。

学校教育目標を実現する姿として、グローバル市民性と郷土愛の精神に結びつく有意義な出会いと交流体験となりました。

<1年生>

まずは、自己紹介
授業で習った自己紹介！

Self-introduction

答えてもらいたい言葉や事柄について英語で説明します。
伝えたいこと、言いたいことを英語で話そうと頑張っています。

<2年生>

有段者の先生に協力していただき、授業で習った剣道を紹介しました。

Kendo Demonstration
Mr. Higashi, a second dan in kendo, is showing William the proper way of holding a kendo stick.
The mark on the stick indicates the proper position of the kendo stick.
The students are trying to translate the instructions in English.

胴、垂れ、小手、面と身につけました。
結び方も説明しました。

剣道の「蹲踞（そんきょ）」も少し説明しました。
実際に打ち込むことを体験してもらいました。
181cmから振りおろす姿には感動！

将来設計が、自分の未来予想図が、きちんと描けていて、堂々と言いきれている。
学ぶべき点が多かった有意義な時間でした。

The students and William are freely communicating with each other.

The class is really learning so much!

何事にもチャレンジ精神が旺盛でした。
グローバル市民性と多様性への対応という重井中生徒がこれから身につけていくトップイメージをいただきました。
一人の高校生の姿を身近に感じることを通して、生徒も異文化理解、国際交流体験の一端を体験できたと思います。

So with William’s determined and enthusiastic spirit,
the students are encouraged to explore diverse cultures and keep global mindset.
